Yoga Sadhana - How to Practice Yoga
3 Saturday Workshops - April 21, 28 and May 5. 8.30am - 12.30pm

These workshops are designed to give students a comprehensive overview of the techniques and theory of yoga. The first workshop is recommended for all students to help establish or refocus good practice habits. The other two workshops are for those who want to go into greater depth. Each workshop will include asana (led class), pranayama, meditation, lecture and Q&A. There will be a 15 minute break at 10.30.

Cost: $60 per workshop or $150 for all three. $85/$235 for non-mysore students.

Asana is the Foundation 
Saturday April 21

Focus on Asana. Essentials of practice - bandhas, breathing, alignment, technique. Preparation for practice, warm ups and supplementary exercises. Uddiyana, Agni Sara and Nauli Kriya.

Energy and Mind 
Saturday April 28

Focus on Pranayama. Breathing and bandhas in greater depth. Establishing a seated posture for pranayama and meditation. Yoga psychology. Controlling the mind and senses. Evolution through Yoga. Pratyahara.

Meditation, Self-Realization and Samadhi
Saturday May 5

Focus on Meditation. Asana practice as meditation. The five bodies (kosha) and the nature of the non-dual Self. Intellect, ego and Self Realization. The internal limbs of Yoga. Meditation and Samadhi.
